Two members of FM Quilters received a second place ribbon at the American Quilt Society Des Moines Quilt Show. Their collaborative quilt “Stars In The Garden” featured immaculate English paper piecing by Marilyn Lindstrom Larson and superb machine quilting by Barbara Simons.

“Once again Marilyn applied her fabulous hand stitching technique laying all these little hexes down that I could then create a secondary design with via the quilting” said Barbara. You have to agree their partnership brought forth a stunning quilt.

The American Quilter’s Society is headquartered in Paducha KY and will hold a national quilt show and five regional shows in 2024. Any quilter can submit their quilts which are reviewed by a jury for inclusion in a show.
