For many years, our group has carried on the tradition of awarding our outgoing president a set of blocks in appreciation of their service. The president’s blocks are traditionally organized by the vice president.

At our May meeting (the last of her tenure), president Kim Baird received an array of blocks in the Rail Fence pattern. Since she loves making amazing things out of simple ingredients, it will be fun to see what she makes of these.

And obviously many of us have remembered Kim’s advice that every quilt needs a little bit of orange.

A few of the President’s blocks she received have already made their way onto Kim’s design wall. No doubt there will be many changes to come.
