On Saturday August 17th, Carolyn Freyberger led a fun workshop teaching a large group of FM Quilters the relaxing art of hand piecing using the pattern developed by Kim Stenehjem for our community quilt “We Are All Stars.” It was amazing how many participants were surprised to find they really enjoyed hand piecing. As Carolyn said, you can hand piece in a group and be able to have a conversation without shouting over the machine noise.Many blocks were made and will be added to the quilt. It’s growing by leaps and bounds!
