Robyn Nugent
Robyn previously served as Vice President. She lives out in the country near Felton MN and loves to sew, garden, cook, read and travel. She says this keeps her quite busy.
“When I was in Junior High School, I discovered quilting. My mother was a talented seamstress but could not figure out why I would do such and old-fashioned craft. So, I am self-taught with the help of YouTube, FM Quilters and friends.”
Robyn enjoys all kinds of quilting and usually has a variety of quilts in progress. Now that she has retired full-time, she sews as much as she can. “The majority of my quilts are given away to family, friends, and charities” she says. “I love to see the look on the recipient’s faces when I give them a quilt. Joining FM Quilters was one of the best things I have done for advancing my skills in quilting. I have made new friends and enjoy socializing with the members.”

Kendra was a Member at Large in the 2022-23 Board as well as 2024-2025 and served on the education committee. She lives in Fargo, ND.

Connie jones
Connie loves reading, traveling, and quilting. International trips and trips to see kids and grandkids in Texas and Oregon have kept Connie and her husband, Bob, busy since retiring. Finding quilt shops while traveling has helped her expand her stash.
Connie hated sewing when she had to do it for 4-H club and in Home Economics classes, but became interested in quilting when she was given quilt blocks from her grandmother and wanted to figure out what to do with them. A cousin helped her get started with that friendship quilt. Many quilting classes later, she is still learning and enjoys the education classes offered by FMQ.

Vanessa Stenger
Vanessa is from a large family moving all over the FM / Lakes area. Currently she lives in Embden, North Dakota with her husband, two girls, a couple of huskies, and a cat who supervises all her projects. Getting out of the house occasionally to visit the older kids and grandkids.
She’s a welder by day but loves using the shop space to fix up old sewing machines or build tools for her fiber arts and needlework hobbies. Vanessa has been crafting since she was a kid and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Crazy quilting is her favorite—mostly because it lets her play with all the lace and embroidery. She feels incredibly blessed to have met so many fellow quilters and to be part of such a warm, creative community.
