Long time member Mary Ann Waxler, 95, Mapleton, ND died on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo, ND where she resided for only the past week. Mary Ann was a founding member of our group and was well known for her innovative quilts, willingness to try any new technque or tool that came on the market, and for her wonderful sense of humor.
Mary Ann wrote a column “It Seams To Me” for our newsletter for many years, and is known for her Sunbonnet Sue comic strips which brightened the day for many quilters. They became known nationwide thanks to a newsletter swap the guild participated in with other quilds around the country.
