Happy Birthday To Us!

January is Birthday Month for Fargo Moorhead Quilters. Hard to believe it’s been 43 years since that first group of quilters gathered in the DeLendricies Building for our first official meeting.

We celebrate that happy event every year at our January meeting. Some special events coming up at our January 21 meeting:

  • 11:30-12:30 Jennifer Lefor will have an open session for anyone who needs some one-on-one help using our website or answer any question about our membership module.
  • 12:30-1:00 Our social time will be enhanced by birthday cupcakes
  • 12:30-3:30 Our 1995 Raffle quilt will be on display in the meeting room courtesy of Julie Richardson. It is in pristine condition because when Julie’s mother won it, she put it away for safekeeping.
  • 1:00-1:30  Sara Sunderlin will present the afternoon program “A Day in the Life of an Art & Design+ student @NDSU” the program she teaches at NDSU to our future sewists and designers–and maybe future quilters.
  • Voting on the 2024 Operating Budget

The 2024 operating budget was included in the January newsletter and we will be distributing ballots to approve the budget. Email voting will also be made available so if you vote electronically don’t double up. Ballots/E-ballots are due no later than February 8th.

We continue to have a healthy financial position thanks to the work of our budget committe and our board who steers our activities to stay on target. And most importantly, thanks to all of you who volunteer your time and talents to make this organization strong.
