FM Quilters was thrilled with the interest about our sit-and-sew activity in our booth at Pride In The Park event on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Bluestem Amphitheater in Moorhead, MN. We could not have ordered up better weather and it brought out several thousand paprticipants to spend the day browsing booths, visiting artisan and artists pop-up shops, and (in our case) turning their hand to quilting. Our volunteers taught dozens how to hand-piece the Wonky Star block we’ll learn at our upcoming morning workshop Saturday, August 17.

Some of those who stopped by were experienced quilters who were excited to learn more about our group, but most were absolutely new to stitching of any kind. It was so exciting to see their faces light up when they could see a block taking shape right in their hands. We think we have some converts!
