There was some very good information exchanged in Clare Degerness’s program at our January meeting. Her ecllesiastical hangings are a large scale and must hang completely straight and flat without ripples, and be able to be changed out during the liturgical year to match the seasons. Rather than using dowels or rods, she sews velcro to the backs of her quilted banners which can snap right on the velcro strips mounted on the wall.
A related tip Clare shared, Mac’s Hardware has the most variety and prices for Velcro in many widths and colors by the yard.
