As of July 1, 2024, dues for a senior member in FMQ will be $30, general member will be $35, and fulltime student $15. This computes to seniors paying $2.50 per month, general members $2.91 per month and students $1.25 per month. Currently we have 166 members (127 senior status, 38 general members and 1 student.)
At our last board meeting the treasurer presented a worksheet showing FM Quilters’ fixed expenses and how membership dues are part of the formula needed to meet those expenses. We have not changed our membership dues in the last ten years even though our expenses continue to increase. When you review the treasurer’s report, keep in mind that we often collect funds for tours and activities which show as short term revenue that will be paid out expenses for the events.
Membership in our FMQ community offers so much more than a membership card. We have access to the website fmquilters.org, members Facebook page, monthly Newsletters and Snippets. We can attend monthly meet ups with morning education, interesting programs, coffee time, and the best show and tell.
We also offer special events like a Weekend With ….. and our Metro Quilt Expo. Being part of FM Quilters is being part of a community of quilters where we can grow and learn from each other and continue to share the Joy of Quilting.
