The first show & tell of the year celebrated a wide variety of quilt styles.
Vanessa Stenger shows a quilt made by Jean Mason back in the 1960s that Vanessa will be finishing by hand. Each design will be unique and not duplicated.Aura Lee Mohror displayed her original design Wedding Bouquet Muff for a friend to carry to her outdoor winter ceremony. The Burgundy silk 3D poinsettias are on a crazy quilted base with blush pink accents.Clarice Erickson’s “Iris” from the book 3 Yard QuiltsJoanne Shypkowski made her “Polar Bear Fun” sampler quilt from a pattern she found at QuiltWoman.com. It’s backed in minky and flannen and quilted using satin stitches by Wendy.Lauren Brophy made this beautiful butterfly sampler quilt using a Tula Pink pattern and many of her fabrics.Suzanne Silbernagel used a pattern from Turning Twenty Book and a lot of Batik fat quarters.Suzanne Silbernagel also made a set of adorable bags.Carol Pratt made “Bee You” from a pattern by Jana Made It of Piece Tree Patterns.Stephanie Lachler’s grandmother-in-law gave her a LOT of Christmas fabrics. Stephanie knew she wouldn’t make a ton of table runners so she made a quilt. The backing also used a ton of Christmas fabrics.
