FM Quilter’s Booth Wins Award

Honeygrove Handcrafts, a business owned and operated by FM Quilter Debbie Richman, received the “Most Inspirational Booth” award at the 2023 Minnesota Quilt Show. The award is voted on by people who attended the quilt show.

Debbie’s business specializes in hand dyed fabrics, stamped and stenciled quilt panels, hand dyed garments and scarves, crazy quilt supplies, and jewelry and lanyards made of melted fabric beads. The unique beads are made by wrapping strips of polyester fabric around a thin rod, and then melted using a heat gun. They are each one-of-a-kind.

“There is no way to predict how they’ll turn out,” Debbie said. “As the fabric melts it bubbles and curls up and even changes color. It’s fun to make them.” You can find Debbie’s unique goods at her Etsy shop Honeygrove Handcrafts.

Debbie was assisted at the show by fellow FMQuilters Virginia Dambach and Kim Stenehjem.
