FARGO, N.D. — The Fargo Moorhead Quilters has announced that its biennial Metro Quilt Expo will be held Sept. 25–26, 2026, at the Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave E, West Fargo.
Online registration for quilt entries will open June 20 and continue through Sept. 1 at fmquilters.org. The registration fee is $10 per quilted piece.
Quilts of all styles, sizes, and formats are welcome, and organizers expect more than 200 quilts to be displayed during the two-day event.
“As chair of the 2026 Metro Quilt Expo, I encourage quilters of every experience level to participate,” said Muriel Richardson, 2026 quilt show chair. “Whether it’s your first quilt or your twentieth, we would love to see your work in the show. If it’s three layers held together by stitching, it belongs in the Metro Quilt Expo. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of turning the corner and seeing your quilt hanging in the exhibit.”
Participants may choose to have their quilts entered as non-judged pieces; however, many quilters value the constructive feedback provided by the show judge.
The 2026 judge will be Colleen Carlson, a certified judge through the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges. Awards will be given in multiple categories.
Accepted pre-registered quilts must be delivered to the Veterans Memorial Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from noon to 5:30 p.m.
Additional event information will be posted at fmquilters.org as it becomes available.
