The Metro Fiber Art Auction (Formerly The Small Quilt Silent Auction) will be held October 18-19 during the 2024 Metro Quilt Expo. The Auction is a fundraiser for the Fargo Moorhead Quilters and will be used to bring instructors and lecturers in the quilting and fiber art field to the Fargo Moorhead area.
We envision exciting, attractive wall pieces and other fiber art. Here are some ideas if you would like to donate a piece for the auction; Unique small quilts and/or fiber art, such as bags, needle cases or other 3-dimensional items. These items generally do well in bidding. The pattern or design does not need to be original.
A short bio and story about your auction piece, along with a picture, should be sent to Bonnie Anderson, bonlanderson@gmail.com. by October 1st, 2024. Itwill be posted at the MQE with your donation. New this year, you may add a minimum starting bid, or the committee can establish an initial bid.
All Auction items will be displayed on both days of the show October 18 and 19 and bidding will end at 3pm on the 19th. Items should be delivered to the Butler Machinery Arena at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds on October 15, noon to 5 pm. The auction display will be completed on October 17th so Bonnie and her committee need your entry before then. You may contact Bonnie if you wish to have other arrangements for delivery.
